Abstract:
In this presentation, we plan to address the issues of intelligent video surveillance and object behavior analysis. The purpose of intelligent video surveillance is to automatically detect, track, and recognize the moving objects presented in video sequences. The objects might be human, vehicles or any moving targets. Unlike traditional video surveillance, the objects have to be observed by manual human intervention after the event has been occurred. Intelligent video surveillance can be applied to security-demanded applications, such as military surveillance, intelligent transportation system, and building security (bank, ATM or vending machine, office, parking lot, hospital,. etc.). With the locating of moving objects in the scene, we can track and analyze the paths and behavior of the moving object to predict its intention. The outcomes of object behavior analysis can be feedback to the video surveillance system to uplift its performance. In this talk, we will use human as the illustrative object to demonstrate our developed techniques.
